Scenarios are Warhammers PvP instances where the 2 factions Order and Destruction come to a face off. The same scenario with different players can run at the same time. There are currently 4 scenarios in the game spread across 4 tiers. Winning a scenario contribute Victory Points to your realm.
[edit] Entering a scenario
You can enter a scenario by queuing via the scenario window in your user Interface, or by interacting with a scenario entrance in a relevant zone. You can join as a group (up to 6 players) or solo. When you join solo you will be placed into a group, if joined as an incomplete group, members will automatically be added. The queue time ranges depending on the number of queues in log.
- The first to acquire 500 points wins or the most points after the scenario is over (usually within 15 to 20 minutes). Obtaining points vary from scenario to scenario.
- All Scenarios have a universal resurrection timer. In other words, when you die, you may be able to resurrect within a few seconds or you may have to wait a bit (up to 30 seconds). A player can also resurrect you putting you right back into action.
- Scenarios have a population cap of 12 vs. 12 or 24 vs. 24 and are bracketed so every player is within the same level, if your level is lower you will be given a buff to improve your stats.
- Within the Scenarios, Realms are represented by colors. Red is Destruction. Blue is Order. White is Neutral.
[edit] Types of scenario
- Bombing Run - A single bomb that both Realms have to deliver to their intended bomb targets.
- Capture the Flag - Capture the enemy flag and return it toward your base.
- Capture and Hold - Flags or objectives are placed around the map. Teams have to get to capture them and defend them.
- Deathmatch - The most kills win.
- King of the Hill - Take over the "hill", defending it for 30 seconds and a new "hill" will pop up.
- Murder Ball - One murder ball is placed in the middle of the map. The team that picks it up gains points for their realm over time and receives extra points if the person with the murder ball kills someone. However, be killed and the opposing realm gets double the amount of victory points. The ball is then dropped and is up for grabs.
